Based on the responses received so far, 11 states will be represented over these two days. If you have not already registered for this event, it is not too late yet but please do so now as we need to have an accurate count of attendees, for obvious reasons. Lodging: We have selected the following hotel for our attendees (these facilities will also be used for our Friday classes as well as for the Welcome diner we are organizing for Friday night: Heritage Hills Resort 2700 Mt. Rose Avenue York, PA 17402 (877) 782 -9752 heritagehillsresort.com Today November 1st is the last day to take advantage of the reduced rates ($129 to & $139 for single & double occupancy per night with breakfast). If you have not yet reserved your stay, please do so before today’s end and use code YOE2024 to claim the reduced rates. Friday November 15th , 2024: The event will start at 9:00 am sharp and will take place at the Heritage Hills Resort hotel mentioned above. I have attached the agenda of the day and as you can see, it will be a busy day. Peter Zadrozinski, our president, will be among us and will bring live updates on what is on the horizon for the association and all the work that is currently being done by various groups of volunteers. We will have two presenters showing you two separate challenging projects which will without a doubt trigger your curiosity and questions. The goal here will be to challenge you about what decisions had to be made to successfully complete the project and go over the engineering, fabrication and installation hurdles. Tom Zuzik will be with us to answer your questions about building codes at the end of the day, for about an hour so please prepare your questions ahead. Tom will be there Saturday as well in case you need to ask more questions, but keep in mind that he will be leaving by the end of Saturday morning. Most of the morning of Friday will be dedicated to the daily running of our businesses and it will be done as a round table discussion; meaning, everyone will be participating. This is obviously a broad subject that we are not going to tackle in slightly over 2 hours as we all use different systems, software and our operations vary greatly from one company to the next. The goal here is to start a discussion about the processes we use for sales, estimating/marketing, administration, scheduling, operations and compare, get ideas and ask questions. We will talk a bit about ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and see who uses what and how it helps streamline the process. If you can, please bring digital copies of documents you want to share with the other attendees to support the discussions. Snacks, beverages and lunch will be provided. Welcome dinner: We are organizing a welcome dinner Friday night. This will take place at the same hotel and will start right after the end of the Friday class which ends at 6:00 pm. This will be a great occasion to connect with other members for conversation and enjoy some relaxing time. A cash bar will be available for the duration of the dinner. This two-day event has a cost, we had to rent classrooms, AV equipment, portable restrooms, small buses for transportation, buy signage, snacks, beverage, lunch, and the list goes on. Our hosts, Hess Ornamental Iron and Yoe Construction have already invested heavily in money and time. We have also secured sponsors that we will acknowledge all along these two days and we hope to be granted additional funding from NEF, the NOMMA Education Foundation (request was submitted). This being said, we are also going to ask a contribution of $75 per participant for the welcome dinner. It is possible, but not guaranteed, that this amount may be reduced based on additional sponsorship or the number of people coming to the diner (we have estimated 40 so far). Saturday November 16Th, 2024: Saturday is dedicated to shop tours and demonstrations and will be organized as follows: Transportation will be provided from the hotel to the shops where all activities take place.
