THE BLACKSMITHING BASICS
November 5th & 6th, 2021
PRESENTER: John McLellan
John McLellan of McLellan Blacksmithing with provide two days of education focused on blacksmithing. Attendees will receive a combination of classroom and hands-on experience on the following topics:
Day 1 (Nov 5):
- Learn how to run a coal fire
- Fancy scroll ends - Half Penny Scroll, Ball End Scroll, Beveled Scroll, Blown Over Leaf Scroll
Day 2 (Nov 6):
- Make punches and chisels
- Go through hardening and tempering
**Please bring a hammer. If you are flying, you will need to check a bag for the hammer.**
