NEF Education Resource Program

Purpose

The NEF Education Resource Program offers educational grants to deliver education seminars at local chapter meetings, member shops that do not have a chapter affiliation or other chapter related education events. The NOMMA Education Foundation (NEF) will award up to $10,000 in grants annually through the Education Resource Program.

Eligibility

Chapters/Groups may apply, annually, to NEF for an Education Resource Program grant based on the financial need and scope of the educational event. If no chapters exist in an area and 2 or more NOMMA member shops want to work together to host a presentation, they may also apply for a grant.

The actual arrangements for the presentation would be made between the host(s) and the presenter. Education Resource Program funds will be sent upon receipt of the final report outlined below. As a result, the cost of the presentations will be provided primarily by the hosting group and/or participants. If funding is needed prior to the final report submission, details should be included in the application for the evaluation committee to consider on a case by case basis.

The NEF Education Resource Program Grant may be used for education programming, such as:

  • Presenter expenses for travel, lodging, shipping of special equipment for education session, special supplies or tooling needed by presenter for presentation.
  • Room rental and other meeting expenses on a case by case basis.

The NEF Education Resource Program Grant cannot be used for:

  • Entertainment
  • Food or Beverage
