The Ernest Wiemann Top Job Contest is a peer-judged competition created to honor outstanding work. NOMMA members from around the world compete for awards in 17 categories, including forged and non-forged work ranging from gates and stairs to furniture and accessories.

In the style of the Top Job Jamboree, this presentation is expected to be a popular interactive experience, both educational and inspirational.

General Description: This project called for a new duplex, open riser spiral staircase to join two floors in an existing apartment. Our team developed the design from architect-drawn renderings and an existing perforation pattern. The design consists of a custom rolled and fabricated c-channel stringer with an ornamental face plate. The perforation pattern unfolds seamlessly across the entire design. Our team provided templates for the floor cutout, 3d surveys, fabrication and installation. The stair was delivered to site primed and painted in the field with several layers of bronze metallic topcoat.
